Due to severe weather forecasts, including high winds during morning transportation that could impact the safe operation of school buses, all Berkeley County School District schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, March 5. Before and after school care programs are canceled for Wednesday, March 5. As current forecasts indicate improved midday conditions, extracurricular activities and athletic events may be permitted to resume. Specific information concerning extracurricular activities and athletics will be shared directly by school leadership. Per the BCSD instructional calendar, the designated inclement weather make-up day is Monday, April 21, 2025. Please note, Wednesday, March 5 cannot be designated as an eLearning day, as all five allowable eLearning days have already been used this school year. BCSD closely monitors weather conditions in partnership with Berkeley County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service. District leadership may make further adjustments to school operations as necessary. For the latest updates, please visit the BCSD website or mobile app.
