Popsicles, pizza, and progress! Howe Hall AIMS celebrated its tremendous gains in its SC Ready scores with popsicles for students and pizzas for staff this week. The Chameleons achieved more than 10 percent growth in SC Ready ELA, SC Ready Math and SC Ready Science! Plus, 75 percent of HHA's students are on grade level for ELA.

Proud doesn't even begin to cover it. Last Friday, these students took the next step in their learning journeys as they were welcomed back to their home schools from the Berkeley County Next Step Learning Center. During a special "STEP UP" Ceremony, students were commended by district and school staff for making the changes needed to return to their home schools and continue working toward their high school diplomas.

Forecasts now indicate that Tropical Depression Nine is turning away from the coast. As a result, all schools and offices will operate on a normal schedule on Monday, September 29. We will continue to monitor forecasts and receive regular updates from the National Weather Service.
