With the introduction of new technology, the job market is ever-changing and we want our students prepared for whatever comes next. During BCSD Technology's Future Innovators Camp at St. Stephen Middle, students were pushed to be adaptable, forward-thinking problem solvers. Whether it was coding with Legos or building their own computers within Minecraft, students had a blast stretching the bounds of their creativity and programming skills.

Across the tri-county area, we are preparing students for their future careers and helping meet the needs of our local job market. STEMersion is a weeklong program for educators in the tri-county area where teachers and school counselors learn about in-demand careers from the region’s leading industries, connecting classroom instruction with real-world application. At the end of the program, educators come away with STEM-related lesson plans and projects for their students. During the institute, Superintendent Dixon spoke on the Superintendents' Panel to give his perspective on how BCSD tries to meet the needs of a changing workforce and supports CTE and STEM in our schools.
