REMINDER: To ensure our young learners and families are set up for success, every BCSD school with a kindergarten program will host a Kick-Off to Kindergarten event next week! School administrators and staff will be on site to answer any questions parents may have about their school's kindergarten program and conduct school tours. New student registration can also be completed during the event. View the full schedule for our Kick-Off to Kindergarten at https://www.bcsdschools.net/article/2799463.

School social workers are agents of change who are committed to connecting our students and families to the resources they need. However, supporting struggling students and assisting in difficult situations can take a toll. To finish National Social Worker Month, all our school social workers came together to learn about practicing healthy boundaries with their work so they can continue to show up at their best for our students.

Congratulations are in order for not one, but two of our athletic directors! During the South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association conference, Dan Minkin of Philip Simmons High was named 2A State Athletic Director of the Year and Region Athletic Director of the Year. Also, Berkeley High’s Brian Welch was awarded Region Athletic Director of the Year. Both of these ADs lead incredible athletic programs at their schools, and we couldn't be more proud of them for this achievement. Well deserved!
