During Hispanic Heritage Month, Goose Creek Elementary students learned about Hispanic countries' histories, cultures and traditions. What a fierce showing by the Foxes! With a whopping 20.5 percent increase, Macedonia Middle had the most growth on SC Ready Math of any middle school in BCSD. As a reward for this remarkable achievement, students and staff were treated to ice cream by the central office.

Ice cream for everyone! The Dragons gave a mighty roar on SC Ready! Devon Forest Elementary students and staff were celebrated this week for achieving the most growth, 7.5 percent, out of all BCSD elementary schools on SC Ready ELA! Sedgefield Middle has pulled off the hat trick! SFM is the only school in BCSD to have seen more than five percent growth on its 2025-2026 SC Ready ELA, SC Ready Math and SC Ready Science scores. Plus, out of all the middle schools in BCSD, SFM had the highest growth, 7.5 percent, on the SC Ready ELA test! To recognize these tremendous accomplishments, district officials treated both SFM students and staff to ice cream.
