
We proudly recognize Jeremy Gonzalez Quintero as our Loggerhead Leader of the Day! Jeremy shows kindness and humor in everything he does, making sure everyone feels included. His All-State Band recognition highlights his hard work and talent.


The Little Lewie’s Cove Extended Day Program wrapped up the year with a wild celebration! Students and Staff had a great time as they “Go Wild for Little Lewie’s Cove” and ROARed into summer with fun, games, and memories to last through the break! Thank you to all the Teachers and Counselors that make this program so special!

Our Monday Loggerhead Leader of the Day comes from 6th grade: Jaylen Williams! Mr. Williams is a shining star in the classroom. He constantly finds ways to lift others up, is incredibly hardworking, and respectful to everyone he meets!

Our Loggerhead Leader of the Day is Catherine Rawlins from Ms. Nolan's class! Her kindness radiates throughout the room, making it a positive place for everyone. Catherine is a hard worker AND always goes the extra mile to help others.


Calling all book lovers! We checked out an astonishing 11,950 books this year! Our school library checkout has officially closed for the 24/25 school year, time to return your literary treasures by this Friday, 5/9/25!

Our Friday LOGGERHEAD LEADER OF THE DAY is MS. KING! She serves as 8th Grade Team Lead, organizes 8th Grade Formal, and is a Renaissance Team member!
Ms. King is known for thinking outside the box and providing creative opportunities for her 8th grade students! She continuously finds new ways to advocate and encourage her students each week!


SAVE THE DATE: Join us Wednesday, May 28, to celebrate 5th & 8th grade scholars heading to middle & high school. ALL CLS families are invited to take part in this new end-of-year tradition.
Send-Off Parade
Families of 5th and 8th graders are invited to decorate their vehicles or golf carts to participate in a celebratory parade. The CLS community is invited to line the K–2 Loop to cheer on our graduates with signs and school spirit.
Family Movie Night – Courtyard Celebration
Following the parade, head to the CLS Courtyard for a movie night. Bring blankets and chairs, light concessions available for purchase by PTA, and spend time with fellow CLS families to kick off Summer!

Greenwood Genetic Center came and did a lab with our 8th grade students today. Students got to be hands on with some pea plants and get a closer look at the plants DNA! They did a great job and it was such a fun experiment to wrap up learning about genetics.
