This Friday is the 100th day of school! To celebrate how we "grew our way through 100 days," students are encouraged to wear green! Some grade levels and classes have a different theme to celebrate the day. Be sure to check your Seesaw messages for any updates from your child's homeroom teacher. #HBE #GrowToGlow

We love when our favorite reading buddy, Scout, joins us for reading time. Third graders practice their weekly reading books to prepare for their reading time with Scout every other week.

Due to forecasts for continued severe weather resulting in area power outages, and concerns regarding impacts on roads and facilities throughout the evening, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour weather delay on Wednesday, January 10.
There will be no before school care programs, but after school programs and athletics will resume normal operations on Wednesday.
Bus riders will report to bus stops two hours later than their regularly scheduled time. Information concerning school start times and bell schedules when operating on a 2-hour weather delay is available on the BCSD website here: https://www.bcsdschools.net/o/bcsd/page/school-bell-schedules.
District officials are continuing to work closely with the Berkeley County Emergency Management Department, local power providers, and law enforcement to monitor the weather and potential impact on the county. Officials are also receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service.
As safety and security is our number one priority, all decisions are made with the safety of students, staff, and families in mind.

Due to the potential for severe weather on Tuesday, January 9, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Tuesday. All schools and offices will be closed Tuesday. Schools and offices will resume normal operations on Wednesday, January 10.

HE Bonner is proud to host Brien Engel on January 8th! All students will have the opportunity to see Mr. Engel perform during the school day.

We ended the 2023 year with some fun games as we counted down to the new year. Teachers searched for the missing reindeers, challenged friends to rock, paper, scissors, caroled around the halls to win candy canes, and guessed the baby pics of their fellow hall-mates. Students jumped right in to help with all the fun!

Congratulations to Ms. Tindal. She is our December Staffulty of the Month. Ms. Tindal goes above and beyond for her students. She works to make sure every student in her class succeeds. Her way of teaching grabs students attention and keeps them engaged! We sure love Ms. Tindal and all she does for HBE!

Our Food and Hygiene Drive was a success! Thank you to all the families and staff that donated to The Blessing Bag Project.

With a full day of Rock, Paper, Scissors, these four ended our day as champions! It was such a fun day, and we loved seeing the students battle the faculty!
