During testing students may not be in possession of any electronic device(s), this includes any type of smart watches, glasses or cellular phone. Students are not permitted to wear pajamas or bring blankets and pillows. Teachers will collect all electronic devices as they are no longer permitted to stay in the bookbag. If you do not want your child's teacher to collect them, please have your child leave devices at home.

Do not forget about our Kickoff to Kindergarten event next Tuesday. If you or anyone you know has a rising Kindergarten student please come out to Cainhoy next Tuesday from 5:30-7:00. This will be a fun event to learn about our K5 program, get any questions you may have answered, and you can get some help with student registration. We will have helpful resources for your rising kindergartener and some light refreshments. We cannot wait to see you next week!

We are excited to invite our families, community members, and alumni to our Black History Program! Please join us on Friday, February 27th from 12:45–1:30 PM. Our students and teachers have been working hard, and we cannot wait to share this meaningful cultural celebration filled with music, dance, and art. Please contact your child's teacher or the school if you have any questions!

Thanks to a generous donation from Daniel Island Rotary and a new partnership with the nonprofit Books in Every Bag, every child age 5 and under at Cainhoy Elementary and in the Huger community has the opportunity to enroll in a program to receive one free book mailed to their house each month until their 5th birthday.
Check your child’s bookbag today for a registration form and fill it out for any child in your home age 5 or younger and return it to the school. We’ll make sure your family gets registered.
