Cane Bay Middle School’s School Improvement Council (SIC) will meet on Thursday, September 17 at 5:30 PM in the Media Center, and we’d love for you to join us!
We’ll be discussing goal setting, SIC bylaws, upcoming events, fundraising, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet our newly elected staff and parent representatives.

Our students are making gains in math! For the 2025-2026 school year, our SC Ready Math scores increased by 7.2 percent. According to the South Carolina Department of Education, this makes us the school district with the third-highest growth in SC Ready Math scores in the state!

For Ms. Ferraro, this lesson is deeply personal. She lost her father as a result of 9/11, and we are incredibly grateful that she chose to share her story and her experience with our students. Her willingness to share such a personal part of her life gave our students an opportunity to learn not only about symbolism and literature, but also about the importance of remembering.
We are thankful for Ms. Ferraro and for the courage it takes to share her story. Today, and always, we remember the lives lost and the families and communities forever changed by that terrible day.

Cobra Nation will come together this Friday to recognize Patriot Day and honor the heroes, first responders, and all those impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.

🍿 Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser
We’re kicking off the school year with our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser! The fundraiser goes live Monday, August 24 at 6:00 p.m.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support outdoor improvements and Team Time needs for our students. Our school receives 50% of every sale, and all popcorn ships directly to the buyer.
