Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Ms. Blake Chambless to our faculty as our new agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. Originally from Tifton, Georgia, Ms. Chambless earned her degree in Agricultural Education from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and began her teaching career at Waycross Middle School, where she inspired students through hands-on agricultural learning and FFA opportunities. She is passionate about helping students explore the many pathways within agriculture, develop leadership skills, and discover opportunities that align with their future goals.

Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Carmen Knox to our counseling team. A Charleston native, Carmen brings nine years of experience in education, including serving as a classroom teacher, coach, and Lead School Counselor, while holding a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from Winthrop University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University. Carmen is passionate about supporting students in discovering their strengths, achieving their goals, and preparing for life after high school, and she looks forward to serving the students, families, and staff of the Cane Bay community.

Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Mrs. Emma Starace to our dance program. Originally from Staten Island, New York, Mrs. Starace holds a bachelor's degree in Dance and a master's degree in Dance Education, trained at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio, and successfully launched the dance program at Cane Bay Middle School in 2024. Her experience as both a performer and educator has prepared her to provide engaging and meaningful opportunities for our students. We are thrilled to have her continue inspiring our students as she helps grow the Cane Bay dance program and community.

Cane Bay High School is proud to have Mrs. Genesia Hinds-Kearse as a secondary mathematics educator with 12 years of experience teaching middle and high school students. Originally from Jamaica, she has spent the past nine years teaching in the United States and currently teaches Algebra 1 Honors and Geometry, bringing a global perspective and strong commitment to student success. Her work focuses on strengthening mathematical foundations, supporting the transition from middle to high school, and promoting collaboration and data-driven instruction.

Cane Bay High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Connor Roudabush as the Boys Cross Country Coach for the 2026–27 school year, where he will also be joining the Social Studies department. Coach Roudabush brings six years of head coaching experience from Stratford High School and previously coached at Emerald High School in Greenwood. Cane Bay High School is proud to welcome Master Sergeant Jason Blake, a retired U.S. Air Force member with 21 years of active-duty service who now serves as an Aerospace Science Instructor in the Air Force JROTC program. He brings nine years of experience supporting Distinguished Units and holds extensive professional training, including multiple degrees and Air Force instructor and leadership certifications. MSgt. Blake is dedicated to motivating cadets to reach their full potential and become leaders in both the school and the community.

Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Veronica Black, who brings 18 years of science teaching experience across multiple subjects and grade levels including AP Biology and Environmental Science. While she has taught a variety of courses, her passion is working with high school students and helping make science engaging and meaningful. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Black enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, listening to live music, and watching sports.

Cane Bay High School is proud to welcome Mr. Dorsey T. Montgomery II, an experienced educator and leader with degrees in Business Administration, Business Administration (MBA), and Educational Leadership, as well as South Carolina K–12 Administrative Certification with more than 10 years of experience in Career and Technical Education. Mr. Montgomery is passionate about preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities needed for success in college, careers, and beyond.

Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Andrea Fuller-Schuchert, a Berkeley County School District graduate who has served BCSD students since 2020. Certified in ESOL, Special Education, and Elementary Education, she has spent the past three years as a multilingual specialist supporting students’ language development and academic success. Ms. Fuller-Schuchert is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Soraya Maldonado to the Cobra family! Originally from the Dominican Republic, Dr. Maldonado earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Central University of the East and served for ten years as a physician and instructor with the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Public Health. Since joining Berkeley County School District in 2021, Dr. Maldonado has supported students through Child Nutrition and Special Education and will be joining CBH as a Spanish teacher certification through the PACE program.

We are excited to welcome Izzy Ann Montablan to the Cobra family! Ms. Montablan holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Mathematics Teaching. In addition to her passion for mathematics, she enjoys singing, dancing, and playing badminton, and we look forward to the positive impact she will make on our students and school community.

We are excited to welcome Maddie Liebert back to Cane Bay High School as she begins her first full year of teaching. A graduate of the College of Charleston with degrees in Secondary Education and English, Ms. Liebert will be teaching American and British Literature this fall. Her passion for fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student growth and confidence will be a tremendous asset to our Cobra community.

With more than 15 years of experience serving students in Berkeley County School District as a school counselor, Dr. Rumple brings a positive, collaborative approach and a passion for helping students achieve their post-secondary goals. We look forward to the impact she will make as she supports our students in discovering pathways to success beyond high school.

Cane Bay High School is pleased to welcome Tanner Richberg as a Physical Education teacher and Strength & Conditioning Coach with advanced training in exercise science and prior experience in military human performance and health education. As a former baseball athlete, he is committed to developing student-athletes through strength training and physical education that build leadership, discipline, accountability, and confidence both on and off the field. Cane Bay High School would like to welcome Mr. James Cate to the team for the 2026-2027 school year. With over 20 years of experience in education, including more than a decade as a history teacher and service as an Innovative Learning Coordinator for Berkeley County School District, Jimmy Cate is excited to return to the classroom as a social studies teacher at Cane Bay High. He is passionate about creating student-centered learning environments that use purposeful technology to build critical thinking and life skills, and he also brings a strong background in athletics as a former football and golf coach. Cane Bay High School would like to welcome Mrs. Traci Hutchinson to the team for the 2026-2027 school year. Traci “Hutch” Hutchinson is a class of 2014 alumna, former multi-sport athlete, and dedicated member of the Cane Bay community. After continuing her softball career at North Greenville University and earning her Special Education teaching license and master’s degree from Francis Marion University, she now serves as a Special Education teacher and Cane Bay softball coach, combining her commitment to education and athletics to support student-athletes.
