Engineering design in action at The Bay! 🐍💙⚙️ Students in Mr. Sklar’s PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design class are building their skills with Autodesk Inventor! 💻📐 Students were challenged to interpret isometric drawings and recreate each object as a 3D digital model. Mrs. Duncan’s AP Physics students put gravity to the test today! 🍎⬇️⏱️ Students conducted a Free Fall Lab 🎾, dropping objects from different heights and collecting time and distance data. 📏⏱️ They’ll use their results to calculate acceleration due to gravity 🌎 and compare their experimental values to the accepted 9.81 m/s². As we welcome our Cobras back to campus, please take a moment to review our traffic and parking map before arriving at Cane Bay.

A few important reminders:
• Car riders should enter using the designated Car Rider Entrance.
• Please do not use the student/staff parking area for student drop-off or pick-up.
• Golf carts and e-bikes should use the designated parking area near the stadium.
• Please follow all posted No Entry and No Parking areas.

The first few days of school always bring heavier traffic, so please plan ahead, allow a little extra time, and help us keep everyone moving safely.

Our Staffulty kicked off the year with a little island fun during our Hawaiian-themed staff development! We enjoyed a friendly game of Name That Tune, spent time connecting as a team, and heard from our principal about the core values that will guide us throughout the school year. What an INCREDIBLE turnout! Thousands of attendees came to grab a backpack and join the fun at our OneBerkeley Back to School Festival! We can't wait to welcome BCSD students back to school on Aug. 12!

Cane Bay High School is excited to welcome Jess Silva to our Mathematics Department as an Algebra I teacher. Originally from Saratoga Springs, New York, Ms. Silva recently relocated to South Carolina with her family and is looking forward to putting down roots in the Lowcountry. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and hosting game nights with friends. We are excited to have Ms. Silva join the Cobra family and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and school community.

Cane Bay High School invites all students and families to attend our Facts & Fees event to get ready for the new school year. During the event, families can pay school-related fees, including senior dues and parking fees, through the New SCHOOLCASH App. No cash or checks will be accepted at this event. Students will also be able to pick up their class schedules and receive their school-issued Chromebook ONLY IF Returning Student Registration has been completed. This is a great opportunity to complete important back-to-school tasks in one visit and ensure a smooth start to the school year. Bring your receipt from the SchoolCash App to verify payment. This event is not mandatory. All dues and tasks can be handled when students come back to school if you are unable to participate with this event. Please come during your designated date and time.

August 3rd:
Seniors 9:00-11:00 am

August 4th:
Sophomores 9:00-11:00am
Freshmen 1:00-3:00 pm

Important Note: Freshmen will not be able to acquire parking passes at this time. Please plan accordingly.
