Cane Bay Family,
I am incredibly excited to share some historic news — for the first time under South Carolina’s redesigned School Report Card system, Cane Bay High School has earned an EXCELLENT rating!
Even more impressive, our overall score increased by 6 points from last year, the largest single-year increase we have achieved under the current report card system.
From day one, earning an Excellent rating was one of the goals I had for Cane Bay. I truly believed we could get there, but I never imagined we would accomplish it this quickly or make such a significant jump in just one year.
This achievement belongs to every student, every staff member, and every family who is part of the Cane Bay community. It reflects countless hours of hard work, high expectations, commitment, support, and a shared belief in what our school can accomplish.
We are going to take time this month to celebrate this accomplishment together as a school community — because this is absolutely something worth celebrating!
At the same time, this is not the finish line. We have earned the title of an Excellent School, and now our challenge is to KEEP IT. We will continue pushing forward, finding ways to improve, and setting the bar even higher for Cane Bay.
Thank you for your commitment to our students, to one another, and to excellence.
What an incredible accomplishment for Cane Bay High School. We did it!
Go Cobras!

Engineering design in action at The Bay! 🐍💙⚙️
Students in Mr. Sklar’s PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design class are building their skills with Autodesk Inventor! 💻📐 Students were challenged to interpret isometric drawings and recreate each object as a 3D digital model.
Working through a series of increasingly complex designs, our Cobras are developing spatial reasoning, technical design, problem-solving, and CAD skills that form the foundation for future engineering work. ⚙️🧠
It was awesome to see our future engineers putting these skills into practice! 🐍🔧

Our Cobras had an AWESOME end to the week from sunrise to Friday Night Lights!
🌅 We started the morning with Senior Sunrise, as the Class of 2027 came together to celebrate the beginning of their senior year.
✋ High Five Friday kept the energy going as we celebrated our students and continued building a culture where every Cobra knows they belong.
🏈 And we ended the day under the lights at The Bay, where Cobra Football picked up the WIN over Stratford!
