Berkeley County School District is excited to share that Quenetta White has been named the Executive Director of Leadership and School Support for BCSD.
White joined BCSD as the Director of Educator Effectiveness in April in July, and then took on additional responsibilities as the Interim Director of Leadership (Middle) and School Support.
White has a background teaching math. She has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels. She studied elementary education at Barry University, and got her Master’s in mathematics education from Florida State University. She went on to attain her Education Specialist degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, White has pursued Post-Master’s Doctoral Coursework in Educational Leadership through Voorhees University.
She has an extensive school leadership background that started in 2009 when she entered an interim principal role at Sanders-Clyde Elementary/Middle in Charleston. Her first principal role was at James Simons Elementary in Charleston. In 2021, she joined Charleston County School District as Principal of Special Projects and Support, partnering with the Associate Superintendent to provide district-wide leadership support across 36 early childhood and elementary schools. This subsequently led to different executive director roles in the district; she most recently led an improvement network for 14 schools in Charleston County before joining BCSD in 2026.
White said she is humbled to be chosen to lead and support BCSD's schools.
"I believe that children do not get a do-over, and that belief drives my commitment to coaching and supporting instructional leaders as they work every day to make a positive difference in the lives of children," she said. "I am honored to serve alongside them in this important work.”
