Natasha Grigg has been named Principal of Timberland High School. Grigg will transition from her current role as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Lakewood High School in Sumter. She will host an opportunity to meet students, families, and community members on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the school.

Grigg brings more than 15 years of experience in education with a background in school leadership, instructional support, counseling, and student achievement. She has served as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Lakewood High School since 2023, where she has helped lead school programs, daily operations, professional learning communities, family and community engagement, student achievement initiatives and efforts to improve on-time graduation. Prior to joining Lakewood, Grigg served six years as an assistant principal at Branchville High School, where her responsibilities included school improvement, master scheduling, extracurricular programs, student achievement and supporting a safe and positive learning environment.

Grigg also brings extensive experience in student support and counseling. Prior to serving in school administration, she served as a Director of a School Counselor Department, leading comprehensive counseling programs focused on students’ academic, career and social-emotional development. Her work included monitoring student progress toward graduation, using academic and testing data to guide interventions, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

"Principal Grigg brings a strong combination of instructional leadership, student support and school operations experience to Timberland High School,” said BCSD Superintendent Dr. Anthony Dixon. “Her background reflects a student-centered leader who understands that academic success is strengthened by strong relationships with students, staff and families. I am confident she will provide steady leadership while getting to know the Timberland community and building on the great work already underway."

Grigg said she is looking forward to connecting with the Timberland community.

"I'm very excited to be here and join the Timberland family," she said. "I look forward to supporting our teachers and students while working together to foster academic growth and success for all."

Grigg received her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina and holds a Master of Education in Counselor Education and Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. She holds Tier I Elementary and Secondary Principal and School Guidance Counselor certifications.
