Have you heard the buzz? Berkeley County School District enjoyed another great turnout from the community when officials cut the ribbon for Bee Tree Elementary, which will welcome its founding students this August .

Bee Tree Elementary is located in the Jedburg area and will serve the area's growing community. This is one of two brand new schools to join the district this year; the other is Midtown Middle.

Following the ribbon cutting, guests moved into the building's cafeteria/multipurpose room for a program featuring the school's founding principal, Dr. Marion Baird, Superintendent Dixon and Cindy Coats, BCSD's At-Large board member. Everyone also got to do a tour of the downstairs portion of the building.

Attendees enjoyed refreshments provided by Berkeley County School District's Child Nutrition Services and Dippin' Dots provided by H. G. Reynolds, the site's general contractor. Families were also encouraged to pick-up new school merchandise, including a highly-coveted yard sign showcasing founding students.
