Throughout the school year, our high school choir programs perform at competitions hosted by the South Carolina Music Educators Association - Choral Division. Compiling these scores, SCMEA Choral Division determines which schools across South Carolina receive the Outstanding Performance Award. OPA is the highest honor choral programs in South Carolina can earn.
For the 2025-2026 school year, three Berkeley County School District choral programs received the Outstanding Performance Award.
Cane Bay High School
Hanahan High School
Stratford High School
To earn this award, choral programs must perform at a very high level in all SCMEA Choral Division events including All-State and Region Choir, Choral Performance Assessment, and Solo and Ensemble.
