Do you have a bachelor’s degree? You could be a teacher in Berkeley County School District!
If you are seeking a career change (and are interested in becoming a teacher), please consider attending the SC RISE Interest Meeting. Representatives from Berkeley County School District will provide information and answer questions about SC RISE, a year-long, paid, resident teacher experience facilitated by CarolinaCAP, an alternative teaching program available in the state.
This is an in-person event geared toward rising college seniors, paraprofessionals and recent college graduates with a current/cumulative GPA of 2.5-2.75. The residency runs from June 2026-June 2027 and participants can work toward certifications in elementary education, middle-level math and science, and special education.
The interest meeting will be held on Thursday, April 23 at Berkeley Middle School, located at 320 N Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner. The session will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the media center.
Registration is preferred. Please fill out the form HERE.
