Berkeley County School District is thrilled to recognize the following students for having their artwork featured in the annual Clerk Art Show.

The event is sponsored by the district in conjunction with the Berkeley County Clerk of Court’s Office and highlights elementary, middle and high school students’ artistic talents. Courthouse staff vote on their favorite pieces. The big art show event was held April 2 at the County Courthouse. BCSD’s Visual Arts Lead Lauren Rice joined the Honorable Leah Guerry Dupree in recognizing each student whose artwork was selected. VIEW PHOTOS.

There were first, second and third place winners selected for the elementary, middle and high school levels. All participating students received a gift bag and a certificate, and their artwork will hang for a year. The winners received a gift card from the courthouse, plus a ribbon.

However, a new twist was added to this year’s show: BCSD 11th and 12th graders were eligible to be selected as the show’s overall winner, earning a $500 scholarship from the courthouse. Congratulations to Je’niyah Brooks from Cane Bay High for taking home the big money!

Of course, BCSD would also like to extend its congratulations to the following students for placing and/or being featured in this year’s art collection at the courthouse.
