It was a party at Berkeley High yesterday when Alex Wharton, BCSD 2025 District Teacher of the Year, was surprised by State Superintendent Ellen Weaver, BCSD Superintendent Dixon and chief officers, Berkeley High administrators and her family with a special announcement. She is one of five teachers in South Carolina who are in the running for State Teacher of the Year!
