With January being Martin Luther King, Jr.’s month of birth, the BCSD Division of Student Support Services invited students to participate in a district-wide Martin Luther King, Jr. essay/poster contest.
This year's theme was “Integrity and Moral Character” and students were challenged to reflect on the qualities of integrity and moral character exemplified by Dr. King and how those can be applied to an individual’s own life.
The winning students were recognized during a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon event held by the district on Jan. 16. Lunch was provided by the district’s Child Nutrition Staff at Cypress Gardens, with BCSD employees and prominent community members present. VIEW PHOTOS
