After taking a hiatus last year, Philip Simmons Middle decided to bring back its Cardboard Arcade event on Dec. 18.

This popular STEAM event has been held most years at the school ever since it opened. It is all voluntary; students collected cardboard and other recyclables to create arcade-like games.

Students took over the school gym to set up their games and let other students in the school play with the games (and potentially win prizes). Students created variations of ski ball, ring toss and ball toss games, plus "air" hockey, ping pong and crane games.
