Inclement weather makeup days are days on the calendar will be considered a teacher workday, unless the day is needed to make up time missed due to an inclement weather school closing.

If needed, an inclement weather day may be an eLearning day. Berkeley County School District is a SCDE approved eLearning district. The current provision allows BCSD to use up to five (5) eLearning days. Such eLearning days are for emergency situations, such as inclement weather or utility interruptions (power outages and water loss). eLearning days are not days planned on the calendar.

Teacher Workdays / Staff Development

On days designated as teacher workdays or staff development days, students WILL NOT attend school. The only exception is if the teacher workday is used as an inclement weather day.
