SFM Parents & Guardians,
As we continue preparations for the 2026-2027 school year, we have many students that are in "Not Started" status for returning student registration. Timely registration supports scheduling, staffing, and transportation for the next school year. Parents, please complete the returning student registration process by June 1, 2026.
Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work, dedication, and academic achievements throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of your commitment to excellence and the bright future ahead of you!
Keep striving, learning, and achieving — the best is yet to come! 💙💛 #SedgefieldStrong #StudentSuccess #AwardsCeremony #ProudPrincipal

A huge thank you to all of our related arts teachers for helping make the day such a success — especially our PE team for leading and organizing such a fantastic event! 💙💛
And a special shoutout to Dr. Cowan for grilling for our staff and helping keep everyone fueled throughout the day! 🌭👏 #SedgefieldStrong #FieldDayFun #Teamwork

This message is regarding medications:
Medications: All medications must be signed out by Monday, June 1, 2026 at 1PM by a parent or guardian. Medication forms for next year will be given at that time or sent home by the student. Any medication not picked up will be destroyed and discarded as required by law.
Immunizations: Please make sure your child has received all required immunizations. All 7th graders must have received 1 dose of Tdap vaccine on or after their 10th birthday. We will begin sending letters home with students this week if our files indicate they need Tdap. Please send updated records to coefieldb@bcsdschools.net and munnerlynb@bcsdschools.net or drop them off at the front office.

Hello, SFM Families & Guardians,
A quick update. Please note that the Band Concert will be held at 6:30pm, NOT 6pm.

Students are expected to wear solid clothing that fully covers the body from armpit to mid-thigh. Shorts should be an appropriate length and fit within district and school expectations.
We appreciate your support in helping students arrive dressed appropriately and ready to learn each day. The full Berkeley County School District dress code policy can be found in the student handbook. Thank you for your partnership and cooperation!

I would like to commend you for your role in helping ensure that everyone in attendance was able to fully enjoy the dance performance. Because of your support and cooperation, we were able to truly appreciate the art and expression behind each routine, as well as the dedication and preparation that Ms. Salvage and her dancers put into every movement.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community.

This is your friendly neighborhood principal, Dr. C. We are proud to share that the first day of testing is down, with one more week to go! We had a smooth and successful day today, and we are looking forward to continuing that positive momentum.
Tomorrow, students will be taking the Writing portion of the SC Ready assessment. Please ensure that students arrive on time. This is extremely important, as we want every student to be settled and in the best possible mindset before testing begins. Please note that students who arrive at 8:45 AM or later will not test with their regular homeroom, so punctuality is essential.
As mentioned previously, there is an incentive for students who are present for each day of testing, so attendance is key.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and all that you do to support our students.
Dr. C
