As you are aware, testing season is quickly approaching. I want to share two important points: our upcoming testing dates and the importance of student attendance during high-stakes testing.
Our state assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and growth throughout the school year. For students to perform at their best, it is essential that they are present, on time, and prepared on each testing day.
Please review the testing schedule below:
* **May 5** – Reading Assessment
* **May 6** – Writing Assessment
* **May 12–13** – Math Assessment
* **May 14** – Science Assessment (**6th-grade students only**)
I also want to stress the importance of student attendance during these testing dates:
* State assessments provide us with a clear picture of where students stand academically.
* Students cannot demonstrate what they know if they are absent.
* Consistent attendance and punctuality help students build strong habits that support long-term success.
* When families and schools work together to prioritize attendance, students are better positioned to achieve their best outcomes.
To encourage and celebrate student commitment, I will also provide incentives to students who attend all testing dates.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students' success. Together, we can make this testing season a positive and rewarding experience for all.
Warm regards,
Dr. C

Hello, SFM Families & Guardians,
We warmly invite you to join us on May 5, 6 pm, at GCH for our upcoming Dance Performance. Our students have been working hard to prepare their routines, and we are excited to share this special event with you.
To ensure that every performance can be fully enjoyed and respected by all, we kindly ask that you hold your applause until each routine has concluded. Modeling this expectation helps create an environment where every student performer and audience member feels valued.
We are incredibly proud of our Dance Team and the excellence they continue to demonstrate under Ms. Salvage’s guidance. While we know you are eager to celebrate your child, we simply ask that all cheering and applause take place at the appropriate times during the program.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Dr. C

I hope this message finds you well.
I want to address an important safety concern regarding morning student drop-off. We have received multiple reports of parents dropping students off across the street, requiring them to cross traffic to get to campus. This creates a serious safety hazard for our students and staff.
As Principal, one of my highest responsibilities is ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in our building. That includes your precious children each morning as they arrive to school.
To help us maintain a safe environment, I am asking all families to immediately discontinue dropping students off across the street and instead use the designated car rider line for morning arrival. This procedure is in place to protect students and ensure a smooth, supervised drop-off process.
Our School Resource Officer (SRO) will begin monitoring the area to observe and support compliance with this expectation.
I also encourage each of us to model safe and responsible behavior for our students by following established school procedures. Your cooperation makes a significant difference in keeping everyone safe.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
Dr. C
