Hello, SFM Families & Guardians,

The time has come—everything we have practiced and worked hard to master this year will be demonstrated over the next two weeks.

The first SC READY assessment will be ELA – Reading.

**Testing Day Expectations**

Students are expected to be on their very best behavior throughout the testing window. To ensure a smooth and successful testing environment, please review the following expectations:

* **Timeliness is critical.** All car riders must arrive at school on time. Any student who arrives after **9:00 AM** will be required to make up the test on a different day.
* All electronic devices will be collected by testing administrators at the start of each testing session. This includes, but is not limited to:

* Cell phones
* Ear buds / wireless headphones
* SMART watches
* SMART glasses
* Any device capable of imaging, recording, or messaging
* Students are not permitted to bring blankets to school.
* Students must restart their school-issued computers prior to arriving and bring them fully charged each day.
* Bluetooth headphones are not allowed.

To support student performance, we encourage families to ensure students get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on testing days. Additionally, to help maintain a focused and uninterrupted testing environment, we ask that you make every effort to schedule appointments outside of these testing dates, and please do your best not to collect your student before their test is complete.

We appreciate your partnership in helping our students do their very best. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

At the New Sedgefield, we will work together to ensure every student is prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.

Thank you for your continued support.

To better address student safety and improve our morning arrival process, we will now have two car rider lines during morning entry. Our goal is to increase efficiency, ensure students enter the building safely, and help families get back home or to work more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our commitment to continuous improvement!

Hello SFM Parents & Guardians, This is a friendly reminder regarding the updated morning traffic pattern. Please be sure to utilize the two designated drop-off lanes, as this will help us maintain a smooth and efficient process. Additional staff members will be present to assist and ensure everything runs safely. As noted in my previous communication, please do NOT drop students off across the street or in the roadway, as this creates a safety concern for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support. Have a wonderful evening. Warm regards, Dr. C

SFM is truly fortunate to have such dedicated and supportive parents in these three remarkable ladies. They represent their students and SFM with pride and consistently offer me kind words of encouragement in every interaction. Those meaningful exchanges are part of what inspires me each day to ask, “How can I make someone’s day better?” Thank you, ladies, for all that you do. I wish you a wonderful and restful weekend. Hello, SFM Families & Guardians,

We warmly invite you to join us on May 5, 6 pm, at GCH for our upcoming Dance Performance. Our students have been working hard to prepare their routines, and we are excited to share this special event with you.

To ensure that every performance can be fully enjoyed and respected by all, we kindly ask that you hold your applause until each routine has concluded. Modeling this expectation helps create an environment where every student performer and audience member feels valued.

We are incredibly proud of our Dance Team and the excellence they continue to demonstrate under Ms. Salvage’s guidance. While we know you are eager to celebrate your child, we simply ask that all cheering and applause take place at the appropriate times during the program.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Warm regards,
Dr. C

Hello SFM Families,

I hope this message finds you well.

I want to address an important safety concern regarding morning student drop-off. We have received multiple reports of parents dropping students off across the street, requiring them to cross traffic to get to campus. This creates a serious safety hazard for our students and staff.

As Principal, one of my highest responsibilities is ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in our building. That includes your precious children each morning as they arrive to school.

To help us maintain a safe environment, I am asking all families to immediately discontinue dropping students off across the street and instead use the designated car rider line for morning arrival. This procedure is in place to protect students and ensure a smooth, supervised drop-off process.

Our School Resource Officer (SRO) will begin monitoring the area to observe and support compliance with this expectation.

I also encourage each of us to model safe and responsible behavior for our students by following established school procedures. Your cooperation makes a significant difference in keeping everyone safe.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Sincerely,
Dr. C
