Good Morning Nexton Parents,
Administration has seen and increase in conflicts and behaviors at school between students in our upper grades. Most conversations with students has involved the words "Group Chat", "Tik Tok", "Snapchat", and "Instagram".
Majority of the conflicts have been a result of students at Nexton Elementary speaking poorly about each other, making posts, and being hurtful on their electronics (outside of school). This is disappointing to administration because it is causing division amongst our student body and is taking away from learning.
Nexton Elementary has always had such a great pride of being positive, loving, and understanding of and to each other. We are diligently working to prevent any further issues that will take away from the reason why students are in school, which is "to facilitate and support student-driven learning experiences by unleashing the power and potential of education".
We are asking for your parental support because " it takes a village".
There will be a Social Media Informational Night in three weeks, it is highly recommended to attend because students are growing at a faster rate with using social media for good and for bad. This session will have a Q&A section to answer all concerns.

Nexton Elementary Parents: The annual school climate parent survey is now available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal website under Forms. The results of the parent survey will be reported on the 2025 school report card as required by state law. Measuring parents’ perception of and involvement in schools provides valuable information to principals and their faculty. The goal is to identify strengths and weaknesses and define opportunities to improve parental involvement at our school and in the state. Additionally, the parent survey provides information to improve school and district performance. The Parent School Climate Survey is available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal website under Forms and/or an individual QR code will be sent home with your student. The survey will close on FRIDAY March 21st. Your time and effort in completing this survey is greatly appreciated.

We will still accept any pending donations until Tuesday February 25th.
If your child has not received all of their items.... they will on Tuesday February 25th. Boosterthon members are visiting the school to bring more prizes and bring the BIGGER prizes, as well. If your child does not receive all of their prizes on Tuesday, please let Mr. Jashienski know so he can get it to them. Please remember, people can "promise" a pledge, but if they do not donate...it does not count towards the prizes.
Attached are all of the great pictures of our PE staff getting "Silly-Stringed"!!!!

We are ALMOST there!!! $46,000 raised. We are $4,000 away from meeting our goal and we have 5 days to get there.
Mrs. Traverse's class won the Nightly Challenge and will receive a Movie and Popcorn Party in the future (teacher's decision).
The challenges are not completely over yet, Nexton is still looking for ways to reward students and classes, even it is outside of Boosterthon, because of how awesome we have done this year.
Enjoy your long break and see everyone Tuesday at the Fun Run... Remember to stretch!!!
