🌟 We are thrilled to announce that Matthew Vargyas has been selected as the Hanahan High School Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 academic year! 🍎✨ 🏫 Matthew has been a dedicated member of our faculty since 2005, bringing an impressive 20 years of teaching experience to the table. His passion for education shines through his work as a Math Teacher from 2005 to 2012 and as an Engineering Teacher from 2012 to the present. 👩‍🏫 In addition to his teaching roles, Matthew has contributed significantly to the school community, serving as the Girls Cross Country Coach from 2008 to 2012 and as the CyberPatriot Coach since 2013. His involvement extends to coaching in various areas, such as Quest (CAD, Engineering Design, Computer Programming), Palmetto Digital Forensics, and the Palmetto Cyber Defense Challenge. 🌐 Matthew's commitment extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his role as the Chair of the Hanahan High School Engineering Advisory Committee since 2013. He has also served as a Committee Member for Core Engineering Standards in the State of South Carolina in Spring 2020. 🎉 Join us in congratulating Matthew Vargyas on this well-deserved honor!
