Two of our favorite ladies from Mt. Carmel AME Church joined us last Friday to read with some of our first graders. We were so blessed to have them with us, and our first graders really enjoyed reading and sharing stories.

Every Friday, Bonner students have the opportunity to cash in their Bonner bucks for fun prizes and passes. They can purchase things like a hat day, pajama day, eat lunch with a friend, go to recess with a friend from another class, and many more options. They earn Bonner bucks throughout the weeks, save up, and cash in for some fun.
Our first grade performance is right around the corner! We can't wait to see you there!
Mrs. Ash's class worked with ECM artist Mr. Cody this past week. Students used the art of photography to learn about the different types of energy! Students became photographers using techniques that Mr. Cody taught them. They reviewed the different types of energy and he showed energy in the photographs they were taking. Students went on hunts of the different types of energy: Sound, Electrical, Heat, and Light. They then used their skills to capture a photograph of it.
Our fourth graders took a trip to Macedonia Middle School this week to see the MMS Band perform!
HBE offers the opportunity for fourth grade students to participate in our Beginner Band- be on the look out for an interest form from Mrs. Sema.
We live in the land of the free because of the heroic actions and sacrifices of our veterans. Today, our third graders put on rousing, patriotic performance of "We Honor the Brave." for their fellow students to honor Veterans' Day.
We are so excited that our favorite reading buddy will be back next week!

Congratulations to Kendall Heape! Her cover was chosen for our yearbook cover for the 2023-2024 school year.
Thursday, November 9th is our third grade performance of "We Honor The Brave". "We Honor the Brave" is musical celebration honoring the men and women who have risked or given their lives to protect our country and those who are currently serving in all branches of the military.
Timberland High School's ROTC will be there to help our students honor our men and women in the armed forces. We hope to see you there!
