A huge thank-you to Hullette Farm for bringing their friendly animals to visit our 4K classes at DFE! Our students loved getting up close to goats, piglets, tortoises, and more — feeding, petting, and smiling the whole time. We ended the 2024-2025 school year with a mighty roar! Not only did DFE show more than five percent growth in their SC Ready ELA and SC Ready Math scores, we also brought up our State Report Card rating to Average. To celebrate, Principal Mitchum surprised our staff with the news and cookies from Twisted Sugar.

Staff Trick or Treating yesterday was a special surprise for our staff! They were showered with tricks and treats.

Our CERDEP teachers and students are working hard as soon as they get to school! They enjoy breakfast and move right into learning.

PTO is still collecting candy donations for the DFE Trunk or Treat Event through October 17th.
These donations will assist with the cost of purchasing candy by the school and PTO.
