Ms. Chappelear’s classes investigated the size of different types of butterflies. Students used their knowledge of measuring to the nearest half-inch to collect their data and then created a dot plot to display their findings!

5th graders took a field trip to the beautiful Gaillard Center in downtown Charleston where they enjoyed Kids’ Jazz Day. They were able to learn more about jazz, listen to Charleston Jazz performers and hear familiar tunes like: “Bluey’s Theme Song” and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
