Preparation + Determination=Growth

Our students are making gains in math! For the 2025-2026 school year, our SC Ready Math scores increased by 7.2 percent. According to the South Carolina Department of Education, this makes us the school district with the third-highest growth in SC Ready Math scores in the state!

DFE School Improvement Council Parent Nominations Now Open

Devon Forest Elementary is seeking parents/guardians who are interested in serving on our School Improvement Council (SIC).

The SIC works with school staff to support school improvement efforts, review school priorities, provide parent and community perspectives, and help strengthen outcomes for students. DFE’s bylaws identify two parent representatives who are elected by parents of students enrolled at the school.

Parents and guardians may nominate themselves or another DFE parent/guardian to be considered for an SIC parent representative position. State guidance specifically permits self-nominations and nominations by other parents.
Nominations will be accepted through September 18.

Students may be referred for screening from June 1 through September 15. To nominate a student for gifted and talented screening, please complete the Google Form below. You will need your student’s Power School number, birthdate, and basic school information to complete the form.
