On Tuesday, Nov. 18, our JROTC department hosted several veterans for their Adopt‑a‑Vet event. As LTC Lipari noted, the project was intended to teach cadets about service and to honor our veterans — but it became so much more. Cadets practiced professional communication, conducted interviews, overcame challenges, collaborated on slide presentations, found the courage to speak in front of strangers, and engaged in meaningful in‑person conversations. Exciting day for our students! On Wednesday, November 12, several of our students attended Panther Preview at Claflin University. They explored the campus, met current students and staff, and learned more about academic programs and student life.
