Cainhoy Elementary students worked very hard to put together a great Black History Month program at the school last week!

The 3 Fs; Fun, Fables, and Figurative Language! Our 2nd and 3rd grade students were able to participate in an amazing Engaging Creative Minds experience with Mr. Jeff Jordan. Here are just a few shots of the students in action. We are so thankful for this opportunity from Engaging Creative Minds and that we were able to work with Mr. Jordan.

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America Week starting Monday, March 4th. We would love to see all of our students Headstart to 5th grade participate.

Good morning CHE families,
There has been some confusion on tonight's Black History Performance time. For clarity, dinner will be served in the cafeteria from 5:00-5:50. The performance will start promptly at 6:00. If your child is in the performance please have them here by 5:30 at the latest. Thank you!

We want to take a minute to celebrate Mr. Edward McNeil as Cainhoy Elementary's 2024 Teacher of the Year. Mr. McNeil is a Cainhoy alum and we have enjoyed having him back in the CHE community teaching 5th grade this year. Mr. McNeil has been an amazing addition to our CHE family. He goes above and beyond for our students and fosters a true love of learning each and every day. Thank you Mr. McNeil, we are beyond thankful for you!

Ms. Halstead's 4th grade class won our Class of the Week competition! Let's hear it for our amazing 4th graders who worked extra hard last week on their reading and math. Great job boys and girls!

Attention CHE Families!
Wednesday is World Read Aloud Day! We are asking all CHE families to participate by reading a book together at home this Wednesday. Snap a picture and send it in to Mrs. Rutledge via DOJO or email. All students who participate will get to choose a new book from our CHE bookmobile on Thursday. Thank you for supporting this awesome day and being a part of our reading initiative!
