April is the Month of the Military Child!
This month, we proudly honor the strength, resilience, and bravery of our military-connected students. While their parents serve our country, these incredible children serve in their own way- adapting to new schools, making new friends, and showing courage through every transition.
We see you. We celebrate you. We thank you.
To our military families, thank you for your sacrifice and commitment. Your children inspire us every day with their flexibility, perseverance, and heart.
Join us in celebrating Military Spirit Week.

Cane Bay Elementary had a colorful and creative week! Selected as one of only 15 schools across the nation to be Crayola Creativity Week Global Ambassadors, Meagan Brooks at CBE led students in fun-filled activities fostering their imaginations all weeklong. CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Cate and Mrs. Treen on being awarded the Santee Cooper STEAM grant!
Thanks to the Santee Cooper Grant, we will be purchasing a 3D printer to bring this exciting project to life. Some of our 3rd and 5th grade Multilingual Learners will use Tinkercad and 3D printing to design animals and habitats for a unique Zoo exhibit. Through research, design, and collaboration, students will strengthen their science, math, and technology skills while also enhancing their English language proficiency.
