We'll take a double scoop of fun, please! Berkeley Elementary students and staff were celebrated last week for achieving the most growth, 14.3 percent, out of all BCSD elementary schools on SC Ready Math! The Little Stags also saw 8.8 percent growth on their SC Ready Science results. Great job, BES!

RED RIBBON WEEK IS COMING!

Berkeley Elementary will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week! Our students will participate in fun activities and dress-up days throughout the week as we focus on making healthy, safe, and positive choices.

Let’s show our Stags that being healthy, making good choices, and staying drug-free is something to celebrate!

Spirit Week at Berkeley Elementary was one for the books!

Our Stags showed up, dressed up, and had SO much fun celebrating together! From creative outfits to big smiles, our students and staff brought the spirit all week long.

Preparation + Determination=Growth

Our students are making gains in math! For the 2025-2026 school year, our SC Ready Math scores increased by 7.2 percent. According to the South Carolina Department of Education, this makes us the school district with the third-highest growth in SC Ready Math scores in the state!

With i-Ready testing coming up for our Kindergarten–2nd grade students, we kicked things off with a fun “Go Green” Pep Rally to get everyone excited and ready to do their best!

Our students learned the importance of trying their hardest, staying focused, and showing what they know. We are so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see them shine during testing!

SC READY Testing is Coming Up!

We want to keep our BES families informed of our upcoming SC READY testing dates. Please make sure your student is present, on time, and well-rested on their testing days!

Testing Schedule: Grades 3rd–5th

May 5th- SC Ready Reading Part A

May 6th- SC Ready Reading Part B

May 7th- SC Ready Writing

May 12th- SC Ready Math Part A

May 13th -SC Ready Math Part B

May 14th- SC Ready Science (4th grade only)
