Congratulations to this week's Spotlight Teacher-
My name is Tammy Booher, I grew up in East Tennessee. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1990, but chose other paths to work with children. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with children. I have done that in many aspects of my life. I have taught swimming lessons for 41 years to children 3 and up. I was the Aquatics Director for the City of Johnson City for 15 years and I was the director of Colonial Heights Day School for 11 years.
I received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013. At that point I knew I was ready to be the classroom. I moved to South Carolina in 2016, I taught Head Start my first year then I came to Boulder Bluff Elementary where I have taught 4th grade for 7 years.
The reason I wanted to work with children is to have a positive, inspiring impact on their lives. I achieve this by being kind, caring, empathic, passionate and funny.

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to the two grade levels that received District Recognition for having the Most Growth in Reading out of the ENTIRE District on the recent iReady Diagnostic!! Woohoo, way to go 2nd and 4th Grade!!!

Boulder Bluff Pre K students invited local nursing home residents to listen to them sing holiday songs and make gingerbread houses. Everyone was in the holiday spirit and had a wonderful day.

We may not actually receive snow for Christmas, but our BBE students were showered in snowflakes of love during dismissal.
Happy Holidays ⛄️

Career Day at BBE- 2023
Career Day is an opportunity for students to explore potential career paths, encourage dreams, and guide passions. They learned about future workplace opportunities led by businesses from the community.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” (Confucius)

The BBE family was honored to host some of our local Veterans on Veterans Day by serving breakfast and hosting an honorary parade. Our Grand Marshal was none other than our Principal, Ms. Salters, who is also a Veteran.
It was an honor to celebrate the individuals who have selflessly served and protected our country for many years.
BBE pays tribute to all Veterans, who served our country honorably during both times of peace and war.

Spotlight Teacher of the Week- Mrs. Leanne Jones
My name is Leanne Jones. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated from CSU Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology (I really wanted to be a physical therapist when I grew up). On a long, windy road, I decided to go into teaching. I earned a multiple subjects teaching certificate from CSU Dominguez Hills and eventually ended my school career at San Diego State University with a special education certificate and a Master's Degree in Education. I have been teaching for, gulp, 30 years now. I have taught SPED pre-school, 4K, 1st grade, and now kindergarten. I made way to SC about 20 years ago and haven't looked back. My husband and I have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren (5 girls and finally a boy). We also have 2 big dogs who are very spoiled. I don't care much about college football, but I am huge SF 49er fan! Go Niners!
Congratulations, Mrs. Jones!!!

Our K-2 iReady Night was a success! Even Plory stopped by to enjoy the festivities 🥳
