Last week, Mrs. Willis and the WVM Renaissance team hosted the BCSD middle school Ren Rally! 8 Middle Schools and 2 High Schools came to bring enthusiasm, spread some cheer, and return to their schools with tons of positive ways to influence the culture of their building. Special shoutout to Mrs. Purdy, Cane Bay High's Renaissance teacher for being our keynote speaker.

The wait is finally over! After weeks of careful observation, charting growth, and a lot of "shhh... they're sleeping" moments, Mrs. Howard’s class officially said goodbye to our fluttery friends today.

The Dance Team is an extracurricular program that practices after school and focuses on pom and hip-hop styles, including competitive and game-day performances.
A mandatory interest meeting will be held on March 26 from 4:15–5:15 PM. Tryouts will take place on March 31 and April 1–2, and dancers are required to attend all tryout dates. Both the interest meeting and tryouts will be held in the dance room near the bus loop (Room 602).

Mr. Ward's band students absolutely stunned the crowd at the all state junior band competition! We're proud of their accomplishments and are looking forward to hearing them at our spring concert.

Our RoboWarriors are hard at work preparing for the VEX V5 State Championship in Lexington this weekend! Meet the ‘Toaster’: The robot sending a first-year middle school team to state
In case you missed it, Westview Middle School's robotics team is headed to state! It's a story for the ages. A first year program, a teacher new to the school with a passion for Career and Technical Education, students with no robotics background. They were knocked out in a qualifying round, and were selected as a wildcard. They came back in the preliminary rounds and earned the right to go to compete in Lexington! Keep an eye out Friday morning for a piece by Live 5 News!
🤖 Our 7th graders are diving deep into the world of robotics! This week, they visited the library to explore and interact with our amazing collection of robots as part of their research unit in ELA. From coding to problem solving, students are discovering how technology shapes our future. Watching them explore, ask questions, and imagine the possibilities was amazing. Great job, warriors!

Mrs. Calvin and our Robowarriors had a busy weekend with an outstanding performance at the VEX V5 competition this past weekend! They persevered and remained in the top 5 throughout the entire day of competition- not an easy feat!

Westview Middle is Putting on the Ritz today at Stratford. It's the big spring hiring event for BCSD! We are looking to fill a Math and an English position for next year as two of our favorites are retiring! Stop by and see us!
Our Warriors headed out yesterday to grab lunch and put our money skills to the test. From calculating totals to managing budgets, these students handled it like pros.

Our 6th graders turned the library into a game zone by playing "The Floor is Lava" this week. Students had to hop between lava rocks to grab ELA questions, earn points, and race for the top score. Big cheers to our highest scorers who took home shiny 3D‑printed medals! 🏆🔥📚

Students who read at least three SC Junior Book Award nominee titles were invited to a special voting breakfast in the library last week. We enjoyed discussing our favorite books and submitted our school's top voted title: Parachute Kids by Betty Tang!
