Coach Jason Artus Smith was born in Dallas TX, and raised in Arvada CO. He grew up in the Arvada Eagles (now Arvada Real) soccer club. Artus has played for 43 years including time with PDL/USISL semi pro with Stampede, Nova, Foxes, Metro and trained with Rapids, Division 1 indoor and outdoor with Rocks and Kickers OSSC WA indoor, Amaya‘s, Sport-O-Rama, Denver, indoor.

 He started head coaching at 17 for Arvada Div 1 and since has been with Extreme CO Div 1 (current North Rapids) Navy division 1, FC kitsap WA Div 1, Satellite Beach FL Div 1, GPS SC Div 1, and High Schools Pomona, Kennedy, and Mountain Range. He has been an evaluator for college, elite and ODP programs, camps Go to Goal, High Schools, Satellite FC, and GPS. He has also helped send over 30 athletes to college soccer including Regis CO, Metro CO, CCC CO, FSU, Queens NC, Florida University, Francis Marion, and Spartanburg as well as a Puerto Rican national.
