The message sent earlier today about the Class of 2024 Graduation Walk on May 17th is for high school seniors. (Stratford and Cane Bay students who are graduating this year and attended SRE/SRI) This is not for SRI fifth graders. Sorry if this caused anyone confusion.
The South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessment (SC READY) program is a statewide assessment in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics in grades 3–8 and science for grades 4 and 6. The SC READY tests measure the
South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Standards taught in ELA, Math, and Science classes.
SRI will be testing grades 3-5 on the following days:
Tuesday May 7th - Writing
Wednesday May 8th - Reading
Tuesday May 14th - Math
Wednesday May 15th -(fourth grade only) Science
Thursday May 16th - Writing Feild Test
All students will be taking these exams. Please make sure your student is at school and on time. We will begin testing at 7:45. Be sure that you student gets a good night sleep and a hearty breakfast. Send them off to school with an encouraging word to take their time and to do their best.

Ms. Cooley's Class took a "Celebration Walk" on their way to the BCSD OBUG Games! This definitely filled their Emotional Bank Account! Loved the smiles, high fives and fist pumps for encouragement!
Mrs. Ramsey did a room transformation in her class last week. The students each had their own covered wagon as they learned about Westward Expansion. Mrs. Ramsey led the class in costume each day. We are always trying to make learning engaging at SRI!
Tuesday evening Ms. Rosales had the SRI Art Show. Beautiful student work was displayed and will stay on display through Leadership Night. This was followed by our Spring Chorus Concert entitled "All the Beautiful Flowers"! Mrs. Clarkson and the SRI Choir did an excellent job. We have many talented students at SRI.

The Test Prep Parent Pep Rally was a huge success! We will continue to send more information as we get closer to testing. The first SC Ready Test is Tuesday, May 7th!
The Butterfly Garden is growing beautifully! Mrs. Ebel and our students take such great care of it. I heard we have caterpillars! We will keep you posted on our total and their progress. Butterflies soon!
SRI "Purpled Up" for the day of the Military Child!
The fifth grade students celebrated reaching their Math Goal for the month of March. They chose to have a GaGa Tournament for their grade level award. They had a great time.
Today is the last day for sales. Product pick up will be Tuesday, May 14th in the MPR from 2:30-5:30pm.
