Our students met their W.I.G.S (Wildly Important Goals) for Reading and Math this year. We had a final reward of Kona Ice for everyone! We appreciated their hard work and they enjoyed their sweet treat!

Leadership Idol was part of our Leadership Family Night. Students shared their genius in a talent competition. Wow, our students are talented! Here are a few pictures from that event!

Our Family Leadership Night was held at the end of school. Our students showed their leadership skills by touring their parents around campus showing them our "Leadership Hot Spots", such as Leadership Wall, Grade Level Data, School Data Wall, Attendance P.I.G., Leader of the Week, the SRI Leader in Me Hall of Fame, Legacy Wall, Student Roles and so much more. Thank you parents for supporting Leader in Me in school and at home! Here are a few pictures of that amazing event.

It was so special to see so many former students at the graduation walk. We are so proud of each and every one of them. It made our hearts full to know they had not forgotten us! They are a role model for our current students and will be in their "next steps". Congratulations again Class of 2024!

Hello Sangaree families! We are asking for all of our rising 6th graders who did not complete their RAZ (related arts) course requests for the 2024-2025 school year to do so at this time. If you are not returning to Sangaree Middle next year, please indicate in the space provided. The SRM PowerSchool/Attendance clerk, Mrs. Lind Sturdivant (sturdivantl@bcsdschools.net) will be provided with your information in order to facilitate proper withdrawal/transfer procedures. As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:
*iPads
*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

For the 2024-25 school year, we are partnering with The Boys & Girls Clubs to bring you the Sangaree Intermediate BE GREAT Academy Afterschool Program. The BE GREAT Academy has been selected as the best after care program for over 10 years in a row in the Midlands’ Community, and I am thrilled to bring this high-quality program to our community.

Registration will be first come first served, so don’t delay.

We help a school wide Testing Pep Rally last Monday! It was a lot of fun and hopefully encouraging for our students! We need 100% of our students here tomorrow and at school on time. Tomorrow is the Math Test, Wednesday is Science for fourth grade only and Thursday everyone takes the ELA Field Test! Another busy week of testing at all schools throughout the state!
