Midtown Middle is excited to welcome Byron Graham to the school's administrative team. Mr. Graham is joining the school as an assistant principal, with his contract to take effect Sept. 8.

Graham has more than 15 years of service in K-12 education, including school administration, instructional leadership, mathematics education, and student support. He studied math education at Presbyterian College and also has a Master of Education in Educational Leadership through Arkansas State University.

He most recently served as a math teacher and math department head at Baptist Hill High in Hollywood, S.C., where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2025. Prior to that, he also won Teacher of the Year at Woodland High in 2015.

This will actually be Graham's second time joining BCSD; he previously served as a district online math teacher, as well as a summer Gifted and Talented teacher, from 2018-2019.

Graham said he is grateful for this new opportunity with BCSD.

"I am looking forward to becoming part of the Midtown family, building relationships with students, supporting our teachers and staff, and working alongside an outstanding school community," he said. "I am excited for the opportunity to serve, learn, lead, and contribute to the continued success of Midtown Middle School."
