We would like to congratulate Ms. Sylvia from our cafeteria staff for being chosen as Hanahan Middle School's Staff Member of the Year. She makes all of our staff and students feel important and feel loved.
Congratulations on an outstanding performance assessment at the SCBDA ! Superior Recognitions were awarded to both the HMS Symphonic Band and HMS Jazz Band!

The HMS Junior Beta Club recently visited the Charleston Animal Society. They received a huge compliment from the Chief Education Officer: "Your students were the best we have ever had come through our programs! WOW - truly wonderful children." Congratulations to our HMS Heroes of the Month for October . The trait for October was courage: speaking up for what is right, taking on new challenges. We would like to recognize the following students: 6th grade, Kaylee Payne; 7th grade Thais Romero Quispe; 8th grade Jaden Fields; special area, Leni Moore. Each student received a certificate and was treated to a Chick-Fil-A lunch.
