The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Celebrate Read Across America at HES! March 3 - Dr. Seuss Day! Wear something Seuss-themed. March 4 - Read a Shirt Day! Wear a shirt with words. March 5 - Wild Wednesday! Wear an animal print or something with an animal on it. March 6 - Book Buddies! Bring a stuffed animal to school to enjoy books with. March 7- Snuggle Up & Read! Wear your pajamas.

Tomorrow, February 14th is a Staff Development Day. There is no school for students. Our front office will be open from 7:00-2:30.
Monday, February 17th is Presidents Day. There is no school for students. Offices will be closed.

Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday.

Hawk Families, In preparation for winter weather, HES will dismiss at 10:45 am tomorrow. Hawk Hangout will not be available for students. If your child will be going home a different way, please contact his/her teacher ASAP. Students will stay at home for an e-Learning Day on Wednesday, January 22nd. Be on the lookout for more information from your child's teacher regarding assignments.
