Hanahan Elementary School welcomes Christin Rogers as interim principal! Ms. Melcher will be transitioning to serve as principal at Westview Primary.
Rogers attended Charleston Southern University where she majored in early childhood education. She received her master’s degree in school administration from Southern Wesleyan University in 2015.
Most recently, Rogers served as the assistant principal at Bowen's Corner Elementary. Prior to arriving at BCE, she was an assistant principal at College Park Elementary for three years.
At the start of her career in education, Rogers worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher for one year at Sangaree Elementary. She then taught kindergarten for seven years at both College Park Elementary and the Sterling School.
She is very excited to join the team at HES and continue her time in the Hanahan community!
