The GCHS Senior Beta Club will host its 2nd annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 26th! Bring your little goblins and ghouls out between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm to kick off the Halloween weekend!

Congratulations to our treble choir, Sziréndal, on being selected to perform at the South Carolina American Choral Directors Association's fall conference this weekend and the South Carolina Music Educators Association In-Service event next February. We know you will enchant and mesmerize both audiences with your beautiful voices. #bca

There will be two alternative certification info sessions for prospective teachers. The first session will be held virtually on October 18 at 6 p.m., and the second will be on November 1 at 4:30 p.m. at our main office in Moncks Corner.

It's been a busy end to the week in our fine arts department! Friday, the choral department at GCH hosted The University of South Carolina Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Alicia Walker. On Saturday, our Spirit of Gold March Band placed 2nd in class AAA at the James A Moody Memorial Tournament of Bands.

To better serve the physical and mental wellbeing of those who work for BCSD, the YMCA has partnered with the school district to provide free memberships to all BCSD employees. In celebration of this partnership, BCSD employees are invited to come out to the Cane Bay Family YMCA on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. to activate their memberships and tour the Cane Bay facility. Goose Creek High School Community Newsletter - Volume 5



A big shout out to employees at Trident Medical Center, Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness and DavisJones Consulting Group LLC for joining forces to hold a school supplies drive for Goose Creek High. During the drop-off, GCH administrators discussed future opportunities for the students' in their Healthcare Career program at Trident Medical.

GCHS will be holding a meeting for anyone interested in becoming a board/committee/chair member of the GCHS PTSA. This meeting will be held on Monday September 18th in the GCH media center from 4:30-5:30 pm. Contact Mrs. Kubisz with questions (kubiszm@bcsdschools.net)
