At its July 20 meeting, the Berkeley County Board of Education approved the appointment of the following leaders:
Dr. Lee Hunter – Executive Director of Leadership and School Support
Dr. Toshawnka Mahone – Principal at Cross High School
Matthew Woodall – Director of Safety and Emergency Management
Latonya Brown – Director of Specialized Instruction
Laverne Henderson – Assistant Principal at Berkeley High School
Latoya Stephens – Assistant Principal at Philip Simmons Elementary
Tristan Hawkins – Assistant Principal at Berkeley Middle School
Ashley Hoffman – Assistant Principal at H.E. Bonner Elementary
Anthony Pieretti – Assistant Principal at Cane Bay High School
Danielle Dates – Assistant Principal at Berkeley High School
Sarah Althen – Coordinator of Psychological Services
Dates' appointment will take effect on July 29, and Althen's appointment will take effect on August 3. All other appointments will take effect on July 21, 2026.
