We are thrilled to recognize Meredith Moore as this year’s Daniel Island School's Teacher of the Year. She goes above and beyond every day to create meaningful, engaging experiences for our students—not only in PE, but through her incredible work with our Renaissance Team and Special Area Team. Her dedication, creativity, and collaboration help bring special events to life and make our school a place where students feel excited, included, and celebrated. We are so grateful for her energy, leadership, and the positive impact she has on our entire school community.

Good evening,

Our gym heating unit is currently not working. If you plan to attend the Trident basketball games tonight or tomorrow, please plan to layer up with additional clothing or wear a heavier jacket.

Although our basketball teams are on a hot streak right now, the gym itself will be very cold.

Thank you, and have a great evening!

Good morning! We apologize for the additional post but the previous flyer that did not include changes we had to make for Meet the Teacher was posted earlier today. Please note that 3rd grade was moved to 4pm so the teachers can make it back to school for Meet the Teacher.

Parents and guardians, Today, our administration received a report regarding the possible presence of ammunition in a student's backpack on campus. Administrators, with support from the school resource officer, immediately investigated the matter. Upon investigation, empty/spent ammunition cartridges were found. However, no weapon was located, and there were no reports indicating the presence of a weapon. The investigation determined that the backpack had been used over the weekend for recreational purposes, and the empty cartridges were a result of that activity. The school was not placed on lockdown, as the student was promptly isolated, and there was no immediate threat to campus safety. District and school staff followed all established procedures in accordance with District policies. At no point was any student harmed or threatened. The safety and security of our students remain our highest priority, and we take all reports of potential safety concerns seriously. We encourage families to partner with us by checking their child's backpacks and jackets to ensure no prohibited items are brought onto campus. We appreciate students who help to keep our campus safe.
