CHS senior Jordan Sigmon has been awarded the highly competitive U.S. Army 3-Year Advanced Designee (3AD) ROTC Scholarship, a national-level honor recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and physical readiness.

The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors and begins in the student’s sophomore year of college after meeting initial ROTC requirements. Recipients must meet standards including a minimum GPA, qualifying test scores, and passing a physical fitness assessment.

According to LTC Lipari, Jordan is believed to be the first student at CHS to earn a national-level ROTC scholarship, marking a significant milestone for the school’s JROTC program.

Jordan was recognized during the CHS JROTC Awards Program, where he was honored in uniform alongside fellow cadets. He will be attending The Citadel in the fall.
