Following the retirement of former principal LaWanda Glears, Cynthia Bise has been named interim principal of Cainhoy Elementary.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in education, Bise moved to the South Carolina in 1993 from her home in West Virginia. She has served in Berkeley County School District as a teacher, instructional coach, interventionist, facilitator and administrator.
Most recently, Bise served as interim principal of Sangaree Intermediate for the last half of the 2024-2025 school year. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at Foxbank Elementary for several years.
