Berkeley County School District is pleased to recognize the following students for completing the welding program at Newport News Shipbuilding - Charleston Operations last weekend.
These students, representing five welding programs from across the district, signed up to participate in a hands-on learning program at Newport News Shipbuilding in Goose Creek to demonstrate their welding skills. They spent two Saturdays in the program.
Upon completing, students received offer letters to work at Newport News Shipbuilding. Those who accept the offer will go on to enter a 12-week training program.
