Cane Bay High's choir program traveled to Newberry College on April 16 to compete in the Palmetto State Choral Festival sponsored by the South Carolina American Choral Director Association. Cobra Chorale and Vox Bellator competed against choirs from all across the state and achieved great results!
For the competition, each choir sang two prepared pieces for a panel of judges and then sight-read a piece of music with only six minutes to prepare. The results?
Vox Bellator and Cobra Chorale both earned first place in their respective divisions, Treble Choir and Mixed Choir! This is the second time the Cobras have achieved this result, with the last time being in 2019. Overall, Vox Bellator was the third highest scoring choir and Cobra Chorale was the highest scoring choir in the state!
Cane Bay High is so incredibly proud of the work of our students and hope the community will celebrate this incredible accomplishment with CBH!
