The Cane Bay High School Cobra Chorale has been invited to perform a featured performance at the South Carolina American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference on Friday, October 10, 2025.
This year’s conference will be held at Furman University in Greenville, SC. They will be a featured performing group and will sing for choral directors from across the Southeast. They will present a 25 minute concert of music entitled “Take What You Need."
They will also present two movements from the Chandos Anthem #1: O Be Joyful by G. F. Handel, No More Tears by Ernesto Herrera, Apple Tree arr. Katerina Gimon, Make You Feel My Love arr. Anna Lapwood and Let Me Listen by Dan Forrest.
Additionally, they will combine forces with the West Ashley High School Choir for a Pre-SCACDA performance on Thursday, Oct. 2 at John Wesley United Methodist Church. This performance is free, open to the public and will begin at 7:00 p.m..
The Cane Bay Choirs were selected for this honor through a rigorous audition process and this is a huge honor for the Cobra Chorale. This will mark the fourth SC ACDA performance for this choir, the 10th conference performance for Chorale and the 12th Conference performance by a choir from Cane Bay High!
This program is excited to carry on this tradition of excellence and represent its school, district and community at this conference!
