Ms. Jackson and all of the students who performed during the Winter Strings Concert did a wonderful job.

A total of 105 BMS 8th graders toured the new Aeronautical Center at Trident Tech on November 30th. They rotated to various stations and presenters within a two-hour timeframe. They were also given the opportunity to complete hands-on activities. Overall, our BMS students thoroughly enjoyed this field trip and expressed an interest in taking classes in this field during their last two years in high school. We highly recommend this tour to other middle schoolers in the TriCounty area. @TTCSCATC

The BMS Chorus had an amazing performance. Thank you Ms. Gamble and all of the chorus students for all of your hard work.

Congratulations to these students who won the BMS Spelling Bee! They will now move on to the BCSD Spelling Bee which will be held on January 18th at Goose Greek High School.

This week 6th grade Social Studies learned about the impacts of the Imperial China dynasties. They completed a lab on how terraced farming worked and created their own version of Ming porcelain.

Today, students in Mrs Allen’s class got to participate in a spooky Halloween lab creating chemical reactions and making observations of physical and chemical changes.

6th grade science classes were creating informational posters on Human Body Systems. Students have to be able to teach someone about the Body System of their choice with this poster.

In PLTW Gateway: Medical Detectives we are currently learning about microorganisms and how they affect the human body. Last Wednesday through Friday the students conducted a bacteria experiment to test which antibacterial tablet works best for their fictitious patient. The students were very excited about plating, watching the bacteria grow, and seeing the antibacterial tablets working to fight off the bacteria.
