Berkeley High School Athletics is proud to congratulate Head Volleyball Coach Courtney Shine on being selected by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association (SCACA) to coach the 4A/5A South Team in the 2026 North-South All-Star Girls Volleyball Match!

This prestigious selection is a tremendous recognition of Coach Shine’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to student-athletes at Berkeley High School and throughout South Carolina.

Coach Shine will represent Berkeley and the 4A/5A South alongside North Augusta’s Ken Grier when some of the state’s best volleyball players come together November 13–14 at Brookland-Cayce High School.

We are extremely proud to have Coach Shine representing the Berkeley Stags on the state level!

🚨 🦌 STAG NATION, WE NEED YOU! 🦌 🚨 It’s time for ALL of Stag Nation to show up for one of our own! The South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association selects a Coach of the Week every week, and we need Berkeley Stags everywhere to submit a nomination for our Head Football Coach, ERIC LODGE! There is no one more deserving. Coach Lodge took over Berkeley Football in 2023 and has steadily built the Stags into one of the top programs in the State. Which is also a reflection of a tremendous staff!!! I mean how about that defense coordinated by Coach Cole Faulkner!?! Bringing in a dedicated strength and conditioning coach that is the best I've ever seen in Coach William Fly, who has a massive impact on EVERY SINGLE athlete at Berkeley High School! I could go on and on but this nomination is a recognition of the totality of the impact of the program on the entire School. 🏈 2023: 6-6 in his first season, including an undefeated home record and a playoff victory. 🏈 2024: Another GREAT season and another playoff performance and a season where we were able to practice on Thanksgiving which is the goal of every great program. 🏈 2025: The breakthrough. Berkeley finished 10-3, recorded its best season since 2018, and advanced all the way to the Lower State Championship Game for the first time in eight years! And now, the Stags are taking another step. 🔥 BERKELEY IS 4-0 IN 2026! 🔥 Berkeley has opened this season with victories of: 🦌 36-0 over Stratford 🦌 44-15 over Fort Dorchester 🦌 46-10 over St. James 🦌 29-3 over Summerville 😎 And that last one was SPECIAL. Last night, Coach Lodge and the Stags defeated rival Summerville 29-3, giving Berkeley its first victory over the Green Wave since 2019! Since Coach Lodge arrived the progress speaks for itself. But this is about more than wins and losses. Coach Lodge has built a program centered around culture, development, accountability, toughness, relationships, and pride in representing Berkeley High School. Please help us keep this area clear and safe for our buses and students. ⏰ School starts at 9:00 AM. 🏫 Students will report to HOMEROOM first. 📚 Students will receive their schedules in homeroom. 🙏 What a wonderful evening! Tonight's Prayer Walk at BHS was a purposeful event led by student leaders Joanna Villeponteaux, Daltyn Smith, Kortlyn Dean, and Madeline Mixon. 🙏 Thank you to our students, staff, parents, and community members who came out to cover Berkeley High with prayers. A special thank you to Mrs. Wharton, Mrs. Wood, and Coach West for showing our students how to lead in faith. Chromebook distribution will take place during Stag Roundup on Friday, August 7 for upperclassmen and on Tuesday, August 11 for all students.

Important Reminders:
✅ Complete Returning Student Registration before coming to pick up your Chromebook.
✅ Bring a printed copy of your class schedule to be scanned.
✅ Students who were issued a summer Chromebook must have it reissued during distribution.
